If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3  on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.

@growth_invest1  Excellent podcast chaps, I find top slicing probably the hardest decision making process. Kick yourself if you top slice too soon or kick yourself if you don’t take profits and it tanks. Never feels a right answer.
@cap_avi   Always look forward to listening to this podcasts. I researched Glantus Group before and reviewed the Prospectus (amongst many sections, information on the directors – clause 9 of Part V is worth reading).

@fei5al  Cheers to @conkers3 @wheeliedealer for sharing. Still find holding onto losers with hope of recouping capital, far too often for my liking or bank balance. Sleep better with having #cash to add to #portfolio. Above all else take a step back enjoy TODAY! Do whatever brings joy!

@AIM_profit  I was listening on the plane back from Spain at the weekend, always a great listen! My feeling is FTSE100 pushes on to new ATHs this year, despite the mess in US. #FTSE100 is well geared to a high inflationary environment. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit 8000 before 2023.

@NicholasVaugha1  Brilliant key learning Buy and hold strategy only applies to a few stocks and a proactive investing approach is preferred due to Marco economic factors like inflation and higher interest rates. A must watch for private investors and professional fund managers listen also take care.
@daveglass1  Excellent bath time investing entertainment @conkers3 @wheeliedealer – I’m non specific because it washes over me as entertainment. Im sure I pick up stuff subconsciously. Squeezed a bit of the @Vonnie_Lea_ one as well – the water went cold.

@rchrdsut76  Good update, I’m 58% cash, David hunter view, all about the FED. Next few months very high risk and potential reward. Totally agree on top slicing and if the FED does reverse I’ll be taking most off. Gold related stocks!! Be interesting preserving wealth rather than only growing ?? Absolutely, based on debt levels, how leveraged the financial system is we will see huge pull backs. So big that no equity will see us through as it’s a global issue. Exactly when no idea but happy to take off the table and preserve rather than add, active management needed now.

@achildofthe70s  Just started listening to the #TwinPetesInvesting latest podcast 76. Discussion re possible capitulation later in Summer (no guarantees of course!). Learnt my lesson from 2020 when I was fully invested and have cash in reserve for possible use later in year. Back to it.

@Ramraj35hotmai1  Interesting topics, it’s a hard decision sitting on cash & seeing it eroded by high inflation right now, it does require discipline Equally buying stocks with pricing power & a good div could be a decent bet With tech we could well be nr a bottom as PE’s have come down & a great time to buy, esp those quality names like Apple, Google Alphabet, I also saw that feature on ATG in IC, bit wary of those director sales atm, nice to see Duke mentioned again by @wheeliedealer its one of my fav royalty plays, felt some high tension in the debate.

@Gallon73  That was great. #DUKE a long term hold for me too. I’ve got quite a lot of credit, infrastructure and renewables ; #GCP #RECI #GSF #BPCR #BSIF #RGL in that order of allocation. That’s about 45% of ISA / income portfolio.
