If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3 on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.
As anyone who has even just a limited amount of experience taking on the Markets will know, everybody has their own unique style and ways of taking on the challenge and although our methods have similarities, it is anticipated that our “Twin Petes Investing” podcasts will bring a range of perspectives and thoughts.

“Wheelie himself is paraplegic after a motorcycle accident 23 years ago and he has been very aware of the good work Back Up does after attending a Skiing session with them fairly soon after leaving Stoke Mandeville hospital. He very much understands the importance of building confidence and helping on the mental health aspects of such a life changing condition as a spinal injury, having experienced it all the hard way. The work Back Up does with children is something he is particularly inspired by”.

Also keeping a strict 14 in your Income portfolio made me have another look through mine. 17 main holdings. I think I’m ok for now but will be vigilant. As you’ve said a few times Peter, it’s psychology all the way! Thanks for the encouragement. I added to a boring stock I will not sell today rather buy a mining stock I might throw away at the wrong time.

@daveglass1 All right gents – we’re up. 49 mins into the audio but I noted nobody had been here so thought I’d drop in. Enjoying the podcast as usual – just beyond the chat about selling winners/losers. As I’m mainly funds I tend to run with the macro’s so I’m lightweight S&P 500 stuff with it’s techies but got some in case – and I’ve got collective vehicles UK and Global stuffed with financials and energy to take advantage of the current economic trends. Thus, I move with the times rather than individual stocks in the main. However, it’s a hobby and always interesting to hear how different folk move and shake. I’ll finish the audio on the commute and watch the highlights of the visuals tomorrow. Thanks as always for the style, content and hard work chaps.
@fei5al Great discussion once again. Key takeaway for me was the issue of ‘when to sell’. In a nutshell agree with the view of there is no one size fits all solution. Each to their own. According to their outlook and time horizon. @conkers3 @wheeliedealer
