If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3 on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.
As anyone who has even just a limited amount of experience taking on the Markets will know, everybody has their own unique style and ways of taking on the challenge and although our methods have similarities, it is anticipated that our “Twin Petes Investing” podcasts will bring a range of perspectives and thoughts.

Given the plight of Charities in this ongoing period of lockdown in 2021. We thought it would be a great idea to make the Menphys Charity, the Charity of the Year that we would support via our TwinPetesInvesting podcast. Further to the TwinPetesChallenge, Peter Higgins @conkers3 and Elric Langton @Lemminginvestor organised a FREE Investing and Business fundraising event that was held in Leicester on 17th September 2021 on the behalf of Menphys. The CEO of Open Orphan, Cathal Friel and Dr Jeremy Skillington CEO of Poolbeg Pharma gave exceptional and detailed presentations followed by Q&A. They were followed our special guest, England Rugby Union, World Cup Winner, Stephen Thompson MBE with his close friend and business associate Mike McGeever and they shared informative, insightful, funny and often heartbreaking look into Steve’ life, Rugby Union and his diagnosis of early onset of dementia, concussion in sport and life after sport. The audience of 105 attendees gave the presenters a standing ovations when the event concluded.
It was a brilliant evening with all proceeds of £2001.80 raised on the night going to the Menphys Charity to support their services and support of disabled children, their carers and families. This took the total raised by the TwinPetesChallenge to £14,346
We now press on to see if we can raise a total of more £15,000 by December 31st 2021. After which we will look to see which significant piece of kit/equipment the money raised can benefit disabled children using the Menphys Hub for many years to come.
