Hello and welcome to you all, Pete @WheelieDealer and I, Peter Higgins @conkers3 are proud and honoured to inform you that the Twin Petes Investing podcasts are now being broadcast and published in association with Sharepad from ShareScope.
If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3 on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.
As anyone who has even just a limited amount of experience taking on the Markets will know, everybody has their own unique style and ways of taking on the challenge and although our methods have similarities, it is anticipated that our “Twin Petes Investing” podcasts will bring a range of perspectives and thoughts.
Given the plight of Charities in this ongoing period of lockdown in 2021. We thought it would be a great idea to make the Menphys Charity, the Charity of the Year that we would support via our TwinPetesInvesting podcast. What this means is that whenever and whatever amount a listener of our show would like to donate to the Menphys Charity to support disabled children and their carers, it will be gratefully received and make a huge difference as every penny counts. Any listeners that wish to support our Charity efforts can do so by :
I would like to take the opportunity to thank every one of our global TwinPetesInvesting podcast listeners that have already kindly made a donation to our Charity Fundraising appeal the TwinPetes Challenge. You are all fantastic and your kindness will make a difference to disabled children, their families and their carers. We have raised £960.80 excluding gift aid thus far. For those that wish to make a donation, you can do so now by clicking on the above Red Menphys logo and also via this PLEASE DONATE NOW LINK.
@VonnieVoiceOverListening to Ep43 and you hit the nail on the head in the first 5 mins. Freedom!!
@HTVIOLA Just finished #43 and thoroughly enjoyed it. @wheeliedealer and @conkers3 have a real knack for exploring investing themes. I very much appreciate the warm tone of conversation – one can almost imagine joining the conversation at a pub when the dark days of lockdown are past us.
@TheReluctantIn2Another belting pod. I only realised Fridays are a write-off when I went to a 5-day week. Barely noticed difference! #SLP, despite the hype and name is a Rhodium play and like all miners geared to the commodity price. And I’m hoping for green shoots at #SWG so as I hold both.
@tcsinvestorCould listen to these two talk about stocks and the market until the cows come home. Such a balanced and rational view and love the honesty about selling loses. Think that sometimes on twitter we are guilty of only promoting the positives of a stock, I am guilty of it too.
@Ryanc124Good podcast guys! Would be really useful if you could put timings next to each companies you talk about! Cheers.
@chumba54339270 , @conkers3Just like to say that since listening to your podcasts, my pf has increased. Not due to share tips, but by you introducing some “boring” shares and talking about their prospects. So, I’ve mainly moved away from some penny dreadfuls and their associated commentators. Pete. I have been listening to your podcasts from the start and am listening to No.5. Listen from 6 mins but especially at 9mins. What you two say there is spot on. Listen to some on Twitter, buy and then get left on the spike! (2 days ago, I did very well on boring old SMT!)
@Viksta084Great Poddy, some good discussion points.
@rchrdsut76Great podcast, really enjoyed this one. I like the approach, the commentary not only shares but approach and well-being. Really thought no. 43 was excellent, donated also and others should if they can! Thanks
@BenSharman ,@wheeliedealer@conkers3 Enjoyed listening to your latest podcast this sunny Friday morning. For me Friday is by far the busiest day – I work in Legal services & the majority of our house transactions happen on a Friday! Wish you both well. (I hold SLP).
@fei5al Great discussion Gents! There is nothing wrong in ‘boring’, my boring holdings balanced days when there was profit taking or pullbacks on the hot stocks! May we all be able to prosper, learn and share going forward.
@sholdsworth1963 Great podcast again Petes. Love the bit about taking control of your days. So very true.
@learjer Enjoying a walk in the stunning Jersey weather and with fine company – a beautiful whippet and my markets and mental health podcast fix! Great conversations as always. Keep up the good work, @conkers3 and @wheeliedealer.
@hopton_jasonGood podcast as always. Not sure I quite agree with what you said about “the next generation won’t hold stocks for 3 years.”. They aren’t investors, they are twitch users etc. Young investors, if they are interested, will still hold for the long term, in my opinion.
@followingericAfter listening to @conkers3 & @wheeliedealer latest podcast I took their sound advice to reassess #slp. After looking at the charts, price does look detached or ahead. Slice 1/3 off the top at 118% gain and slip profits between #rdsb#macf
@claudiohfoxListening to #TPI43 yesterday, it hit me about pent up feelings people have 2 buy retail, travel, auto & experiences + fun after the pandemic. @conkers3 made a good call on #Halfords#HFD & bikes during the pandemic, he makes good obs in 43 wrt spending.
@GoLeftMassaRecommend listening (again!) – narrative fallacy was especially pertinent, I’ve seen a lot of new & established posters on Twitter not being willing to look outside their blinkered view. We all have blinkered views to different extents! Well done, @conkers3 & @wheeliedealer.
@ZJS_Ret Another great podcast from our esteemed duo. Talk of #BNZL @£22.77 last week reminded me that I bought @ the start of my investing in 2010 at £7. Sadly, in my inexperience I sold for a tiny profit. How sad. Keep up the good work. Reminders of screw ups focuses the mind.
@Longtermholding , @conkers3@wheeliedealer Another excellent podcast gentlemen. I discovered the podcast during the first lockdown and now its my regular Friday night listening every fortnight. I particularly like your ‘investor’ approach and not just trading what is popular that day.
@jeanblackjean Very interesting podcast yet again, it was reassuring to learn that even people as experienced as the twin pete’s can get it wrong and not afraid to admit it, looking forward to the next one.
