If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3  on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.

As anyone who has even just a limited amount of experience taking on the Markets will know, everybody has their own unique style and ways of taking on the challenge and although our methods have similarities, it is anticipated that our “Twin Petes Investing” podcasts will bring a range of perspectives and thoughts.

In October 2020 one of our supportive listeners @sholdsworth1963 stated, “..I know you’re sponsored now but it’s still free for listeners, so if you’d like to jointly nominate a charity of choice I’ll happily donate to say thanks”. The TwinPetesInvesting podcast opted for the Menphys Charity based in Leicestershire because of the wonderful work they do to support disabled children. Plus they had at the time launched a recent Christmas list campaign to buy Christmas gifts for Children and their Carers. When we mentioned this across Social Media and during our TwinPeteInvesting podcasts it led to @sholdsworth1963 and several of our listeners kindly making a donation to the Menphys Charity Christmas list. When the campaign finished in December 2020, the overall charitable donations had enabled the Menphys Charity to gift 1001 Christmas Presents, 120 Sensory Kits, 110 Food Hampers & 25 Party Boxes. Our fantastically supportive community minded TwinPetesInvesting listeners had contributed and donated to the monies raised to make this possible by #payingitforward.  For that we are truly grateful.

Given the plight of Charities in this ongoing period of lockdown in 2021. We thought it would be a great idea to make the Menphys Charity, the Charity of the Year that we would support via our TwinPetesInvesting podcast. Excellent discussion without any interruptions. Happy New Year to you both and hopefully I will improve my buy/sell execution in 2021. Hi Peter I think what makes your podcasts so interesting is your diversity of investments. I guess it’s hard for WD to be too critical of your AIM trash investments when you regularly multi bag. eg #ITM still to make a profit. Contrasted with WD,s holding #PETS #SOM #MPAC.

@followingeric  This year I came to twitter to follow the US election. Little did I know there was a massive UK fintwit community with great knowledge. @wheeliedealer & @conkers3 were a great find of 2020. They continually remind you to do the research and trust your convictions. This is crucial in reminding young investors like myself that all good things take time, do your research, do your readings and trust your conviction. Which isn’t always easy in todays fast paced world. Their weekly listen is a comforting reminder to stick to your inner voice.
@sholdsworth1963  A pretty good podcast considering it covered the quiet winter holiday fortnight. As always a few good share ideas in there. Perhaps 1 hour and 25 minutes is too long. Or maybe my attention span is too short. Thank you as always.
