Hello and welcome to you all, Pete @WheelieDealer and I, Peter Higgins @conkers3 are proud and honoured to inform you that the Twin Petes Investing podcasts are now being broadcast and published in association with Sharepad from ShareScope.
If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3 on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.
As anyone who has even just a limited amount of experience taking on the Markets will know, everybody has their own unique style and ways of taking on the challenge and although our methods have similarities, it is anticipated that our “Twin Petes Investing” podcasts will bring a range of perspectives and thoughts.
@Battlebus141 Really enjoyed all the Twin Petes throughout 2020. Informative, funny and even the odd glitch didn’t dampen the interest. I can only say to anyone who follows me but hasn’t listened to the podcasts to give it a go as I expect further stardom for the guys in 2021.
@obone747Only just got a chance to listen to TPI 38. With @conkers3 enjoyed honest view of market, your pf and many companies in/out: good & bad. Always learning experience for me. Sincerely, make sure your health improves but its both your indomitable spirit that makes a good listen.
@shantbasuA good end to 2021-Podcast 38 had some good themes for me- Research pharma for takeover/consolidation. Research GSK for share split, vaccine capacity etc. Takeover of FTSE companies in 2021 due to low valuation. Overall another excellent podcast. Thanks and well done.

@groupstageexitInteresting poddy, once you got going! Definitely agree that there is nothing inspiring about holding #FUTR I think #SONG is worthy of research too – not one I have looked at before, but it sounds like they have a licence to print money, effectively. Always a useful snippet or two to take from these podcasts so well worth an hour (or so!!!) of your time! I love the idea of guest speakers appearing. Appreciate you probably intend it as a one off, but I think if you do it regularly, it’ll add to the fun!

@SandyMiddCatching up with Podcast. Discussion on #AZN mega merger struck a note with me. They DON’T always work and remember voting against Glaxo Wellcome & SmithKline Beecham #GSK merger. Sold at £19 and £20 only returning later. But as a core holding I know never recovered those levels.

@hopton_jason I’m cringing through the blue whale part, I know you’ve been corrected Pete, but seriously hope people do their own research and don’t get put off the fund with you saying they hold 50% in Adobe. And for anyone who isn’t aware it’s 7% in Adobe. 50% in the top 10 holdings. Despite my criticism it was a fantastic podcast as always, it always jumps my podcast queue when a TPI comes up! Look forward to the special guest one, great idea! Also thanks to conkers for the time he takes to get these sorted and keep wheelie under control. Merry Christmas.
@RidyardMike Listened to TwinPetes podcast no.38 on my morning walk. Always entertaining but unfortunately too much talking over one another. Appreciate WD was recovering from a water infection and perhaps not on his best behaviour. I Won’t mention Blue Whale GF.
